- Chosen by Voters What's sad is that rape myths affect both male and female victims, but MRA's don't seem to see that they're implying that all male rape victims lie when they say all rape victims are liars. You can't have it both ways-either both male and female rape victims usually tell the truth, like other victims of violent crimes, or both male and female rape victims are liars. I believe the majority of crime victims are telling the truth, and that police and the courts do try to find out the truth, but I also know justice can be difficult to attain with so many crimes, and so little time.
